Pita Jelley BenzBio: Pita Jelly Benz is the VP of Social Enterprise at Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC). CITC’s social enterprise initiative aims to employ market based solutions to address social problems and become an agent of social change. Pita has over 30 years of experience in commercial and real estate finance at National Bank of Alaska, Wells Fargo and CIRI.
Christi BellBio: Ms. Christi Bell is the Director of the University Alaska Center for Economic Development. Through this position she provides technical assistance to community-based organizations engaged in economic development activities throughout Alaska. Assistance efforts include strategic planning, feasibility studies, business planning and non-profit corporation business counseling. She holds a Master of Business degree and a Master of Science degree in Resource Management, both from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In addition to education, Ms. Bell brings many years of business and management consulting experience to the UACED.
Isaac Vanderburg Bio: Vanderburg is the Associate State Director at the Alaska Small Business Development Center, The Alaska SBDC aims to foster, promote, and assist the growth and development of small businesses in Alaska through free and confidential one-on-one counseling and low or no-cost workshops. Vanderburg has a BA in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Portland (Portland, OR) and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS).
