    Bio: Lowell has started 4 companies. He started one of the first IT Staffing and Consulting firms in Anchorage in the early 80s His most recent venture was Qivliq -a Telecom and IT services company supporting federal government contracting. Lowell has over 36 active years in the business community.


  • Jeremiah Dunham Jeremiah Dunham

    Bio: Jeremiah has more than ten years of experience working in Information Technology (IT). He enjoys developing business strategies, writing software, solving challenging problems, and growing and leading teams of talented individuals. He is currently President of Design-PT, an IT services firm committed to serving Alaska’s non-profits. He has been involved in high-profile software development efforts for Alaska Airlines, Microsoft and Amazon.com. Jeremiah holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Alaska Anchorage as well as an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University.


  • Al Herman, Assistant Professor of Business and Ent Al Herman, Assistant Professor of Business and Ent

    Bio: Al Hermann is an Assistant Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of Alaska Anchorage and is also a consultant for the Center for Economic Development at the University of Alaska. He is the founder and Managing Member of the Alaska Angel Investors, LLC. He has over 35 years of financial and operations experience. His extensive experience encompasses working at the senior management level with Fortune 500 companies and small privately help entities. While he was the Vice President of Finance for U.S. Operations at Lanier Worldwide he was responsible for closing twenty-six acquisitions and two divestitures over an eight year period. As the CFO of four start-up ventures, spanning several industries, he helped raise capital, both equity and debt and built the financial and operations infrastructures. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for American Office Products and Global Tech Financial. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Temple University and a MBA in finance from Drexel University.


  • Mark W Moronell Mark W Moronell

    Bio: Mark W. Moronell MD was born in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in electrical engineering and has worked as a project manager for the USAF and as an award-winning sales engineer for Hewlett-Packard. Mark was co-founder of MidAtlantic Research Corp; a software consulting firm that performed contracts for the DoD and commercial sector. He has personally briefed the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other high levels within government and the private sector. In 1990 Dr. Moronell left business for medicine. He attended the University of Toledo Medical School and completed post graduate training and fellowship at the University of Michigan and Vanderbilt University respectively. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. From 2000 to 2011 he was a vice president and senior partner for one of the largest independent cardiology groups in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to founding Health Comm Strategies, Dr. Moronell serves as senior advisor to the telecommunications industry on matters of health care and is active in promoting telemedicine initiatives throughout the Northwest. He has served as chief of the Department of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Services for a large regional hospital. Dr. Moronell is a member of the American College of Physician Executives and the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs. He is a frequent contributor in the business press and speaks widely on matters of healthcare marketing and strategy, sales force development, medical practice governance and telemedicine applications.
